For my final year of Uni for my Work Integrated Learning unit I participated in a mixed collaboration / internship with the University of Notre Dame Australia. In particular their IEO, Indigenous Education Office.

The University of Notre Dame presented a brief looking to integrate Indigenous culture into their existing campus environment. Through one-on-one conversation with the client, heavy consideration and limitations had to be put on the project, due to the potential for cultural appropriation, and negative integration.

After a significant amount of trial and error, the final idea was to incorporate the Kurrajong tree, a significant tree in Indigenous culture, into a pattern-based solution.
